Sometimes a seemingly pointless activity really <i>is</i> pointless. Sometimes it's not. Hard to tell the difference at times. Last week I spent half a day setting things up so I could develop the website at work locally. I think it's paid off already. Other times, I've spent a couple of days trying to find a better way to do something and didn't get anything but experience from my effort. Reminds me of the part in Dreaming In Code about Yak Shaving. Sometimes a seemingly pointless activity really is pointless. Sometimes it’s not. Hard to tell the difference at times.

Last week I spent half a day setting things up so I could develop the website at work locally. I think it’s paid off already. Other times, I’ve spent a couple of days trying to find a better way to do something and didn’t get anything but experience from my effort.
